Is VIOFO a good dash cam brand?
VIOFO is the enthusiast favourite — Sony STARVIS 2 sensors, genuine 4K detail and big features for the money. We're an authorised VIOFO reseller in Australia, so every camera is genuine local stock with a 24-month Australian warranty and local support, not a grey import.
What's the difference between the A229 Plus, Pro and Ultra?
All three are 2-channel STARVIS 2 cameras with Wi-Fi and GPS. The A229 Plus records 2K front and 2K rear; the A229 Pro steps the front up to 4K; the A229 Ultra is 4K front and 4K rear for maximum detail both ways. The A329S sits above them with 4K 60fps and Wi-Fi 6.
Do VIOFO dash cams have parking mode?
Yes — every VIOFO camera supports parking mode with motion and impact detection, but it needs constant power. Add an HK3/HK4 hardwire kit (HK6 for the A329S), the OP100 OBD-II cable, or the BP100 battery pack for days of protection without draining your car battery.
Do VIOFO dash cams have cloud or remote live view?
VIOFO cameras don't have a built-in cloud platform. They have built-in Wi-Fi so you can view and download footage on your phone through the VIOFO app when you're near the car, plus GPS for speed and location tagging. If you specifically need remote live view from anywhere, look at BlackVue or Thinkware instead.
What warranty do VIOFO dash cams have in Australia?
Every VIOFO camera we sell carries an exclusive 24-month Australian warranty because we're an authorised reseller. Grey imports bought from overseas don't get local warranty or support — always check you're buying genuine Australian stock.
What microSD card should I use with a VIOFO?
Use a high-endurance card built for constant recording — 128GB is a good start, 256GB or larger for 4K. We stock genuine VIOFO industrial-grade cards in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. The flagship A329S can also record to an external SSD for very long, high-bitrate recording.
