A closer look
4K at both ends
Most 2-channel cameras save money with a lower-res rear. The A229 Ultra doesn't — it records true 4K front and 4K rear, so a plate behind you in a rear-end or merging incident is just as readable as one ahead. Dual Sony STARVIS 2 sensors keep that clarity after dark.
Premium touches included
A front CPL filter comes in the box to cut windscreen glare, and HDR handles tricky light. It's a genuinely premium 2-channel system — a step below the flagship A329S only in frame rate and Wi-Fi generation.
Installation options
Car charger (included, plug-and-play): plug into the 12V socket and tuck the cable around the windscreen trim, and you are recording in minutes. Recording stops when the socket switches off with the ignition, so parking mode needs a hardwire kit or a battery pack.
VIOFO HK4 hardwire kit (or the HK6) (optional, unlocks parking mode): fuse-box power with a low-voltage cut-off that protects your car battery. The rear cable runs along the headliner to the back window.
VIOFO BP100 battery pack (optional, zero car-battery drain): charges while you drive and powers parking mode from its own cells, so the car battery is never touched. A good fit for EVs and cars left parked for long stretches.

What makes the Ultra different from the Pro?

How does it compare to the A329S?

What size memory card do I need?
