2K Quad HD Dash Cams

2K Quad HD dash cams — crisp, reliable footage well above 1080p, at a smarter price than 4K. A great balance of clarity and value for most drivers.

Compare resolution

4K vs 2K vs 1080p — how much detail do you actually need?

Resolution decides how clearly your dash cam captures the details that matter most — number plates, faces and street signs — especially at speed or from a distance.

Tip: resolution matters most on your front camera — many drivers pair a 4K or 2K front with a 1080p rear.

Good to know

2K dash cam questions, answered

Is 2K enough, or should I go 4K?
2K (1440p) is sharp enough to read number plates in most everyday situations and is the value sweet spot. Go 4K only if you want maximum detail at distance or speed.
Will a 2K camera read number plates?
Yes, in good conditions and at reasonable range. Night and distance are where 4K pulls ahead, but 2K handles the vast majority of incidents well.
Do these record front and rear?
Most 2K options here are 2-channel (front + rear). Check each product for the exact setup.
Which 2K dash cam is best?
The BlackVue Elite 8 and FineVu GX35 are excellent 2K all-rounders. Message us for a recommendation.
