Most dash cams top out at 4K 30fps. The A329S doubles the frame rate to 4K 60fps, so fast-moving scenes — overtaking traffic, a plate flashing past — stay smooth and sharp instead of blurring. Prefer maximum dynamic range? Switch to 4K 30fps HDR. Either way you're recording in true 4K, not interpolated.
The front camera uses a Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 8MP sensor and the rear a STARVIS 2 IMX675 5MP sensor — both built for low light, with far wider dynamic range than older sensors. That means cleaner night footage, less glare blow-out from headlights, and detail that holds up when you need it most.
The A329S supports an external SSD, extending recording to weeks of footage (VIOFO quotes 23 days of three-hours-a-day driving on a 2TB drive) so you can drive interstate without worrying about overwriting. Wi-Fi 6 makes pulling clips to your phone almost instant, and built-in GPS stamps your speed and location onto every recording — invaluable for an insurance claim.
Car charger (included, plug-and-play): plug into the 12V socket and tuck the cable around the windscreen trim, and you are recording in minutes. Recording stops when the socket switches off with the ignition, so parking mode needs a hardwire kit or a battery pack.
VIOFO HK6 hardwire kit (recommended for parking mode): the hardwire kit VIOFO pairs with the A329S. It supports hybrid parking and shows the battery voltage, with a low-voltage cut-off to protect your car battery. The HK4 kit also fits.
VIOFO BP100 battery pack (optional, zero car-battery drain): charges while you drive and runs parking mode from its own cells, which suits EVs and long stays.
