FineVu GX9000-2CH · 2K + Full HD · 3.5" Touchscreen

The FineVu with a screen. A 2K Quad HD front camera on a Sony STARVIS sensor, a Full HD rear camera, and a 3.5" IPS touchscreen so you can check footage, change settings and see front and rear views in the car without touching your phone.

For drivers who want to see what the camera sees, right there on the windscreen. If you'd rather have no screen and the smallest possible camera, the GX35-2CH is the pick. If you want 4K front and 2K rear, step up to the GX1600-2CH.

Who the GX9000 is for

Drivers who don't want an appPlay back clips, lock an event and adjust settings on the touchscreen. No pairing, no phone, no fuss.
Fleet, work utes and shared carsA screen means any driver can confirm the camera is recording and show footage on the spot after an incident.
Long stays in car parksPower Saving Parking Mode draws just 0.06W and wakes on impact, so it can keep watch for days without flattening the battery.

What makes the GX9000 stand out

A proper touchscreen, with PIP

The 3.5" IPS display (800 x 480) shows live front, live rear, or both at once in picture-in-picture. Tap to switch views, tap to play back, tap to change settings. It also makes aiming the camera during installation dead simple, because you can see exactly what it's framing.

2K front on a Sony STARVIS sensor

The 5MP front sensor records 2560 x 1440, nearly twice the pixels of Full HD, with HDR to hold detail against headlights and low sun. The 2MP rear camera records Full HD 1080p and covers 124° behind you.

Auto Super Night Vision 2.0

FineVu's latest night processing records brighter, cleaner footage in low light and reduces the smearing you get from cheaper cameras under street lighting. It switches itself on and off, so night footage is handled without you thinking about it.

Plate Readability 2.0

A dedicated driving-mode setting that sharpens number plates when the other car is turning or changing lanes, exactly the moment plates normally blur. Note: it runs instead of HDR, not alongside it, so you choose the mode that suits your driving.

Power Saving Parking Mode

Standard motion parking mode draws 4.8W. Power Saving Parking Mode drops that to 0.06W, sleeping until the G-sensor feels an impact and then waking to record. AI Heat Monitoring switches to this mode automatically if the cabin gets too hot, and back again once it cools.

Format Free 2.0 and Memory Allocation

Never reformat the card by hand, and choose how the card is split between driving, event and parking recordings to suit how you use the car. Smart Time Lapse stretches parking recording to hours of coverage on a single card.

Four ways to power it

Pick the install that suits your car and your confidence level. Two of the four are included in the box.

  1. Cigarette-lighter cord (included) Plug in and drive, no tools, no wiring. Records while driving only; no parking mode.
  2. Hardwire cable (included) The permanent, fully hidden install with parking mode and low-voltage protection. We recommend a qualified auto electrician, or book FineVu's Australia-wide mobile installation for $250.
  3. OBD-II cable (optional, $79) The easiest path to parking mode: plugs into your OBD-II port in seconds, no fuse-box wiring. Not compatible with Teslas and some EVs.
  4. Battery pack (optional) A Cellink battery gives the longest parking coverage with zero drain on your car battery. The included hardwire cable connects the camera to the battery.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need the app at all?

No. Playback, event locking, settings and live view all work on the touchscreen. The included Bluetooth + Wi-Fi dongle and the free FineVu app are there when you want to save a clip to your phone.

Can I turn the screen off while driving?

Yes. The display can be switched off while the camera keeps recording, so it isn't a distraction at night. Tap it to wake it.

GX9000 or GX35: which should I get?

Both record 2K front and Full HD rear. Choose the GX9000 for the touchscreen, Power Saving Parking Mode and Plate Readability 2.0. Choose the GX35-2CH if you want the smallest possible camera and never need to look at a screen.

Will it record while my car is parked?

Yes. Connect the included hardwire cable at the fuse box, use the optional FineVu OBD-II cable, or add a Cellink battery pack. You get motion detection, impact detection, Smart Time Lapse and a 0.06W Power Saving mode for long stays, with a low-voltage cut-off for your battery.

Where do the GPS receiver and Wi-Fi dongle go?

Both plug into the front camera and tuck along the windscreen edge or headlining. The GPS receiver gives you speed and location on your footage plus safety camera and ADAS alerts; the dongle gives you the app connection.

What memory card should I use?

A 32GB FineVu card is included. The GX9000 supports 32GB to 128GB high-endurance cards; we recommend Samsung PRO Plus, PRO Ultimate or T9. Avoid SanDisk cards in FineVu dash cams: they cause faults and void the manufacturer's warranty.

How hard is it to install?

Plug the included cigarette-lighter cord in yourself in minutes for driving-only recording. For parking mode, the included hardwire cable is a three-wire fuse-box connection: straightforward for an auto electrician, or book FineVu's Australia-wide mobile installation for $250. The plug-and-play OBD-II cable takes a few minutes with no tools, and the touchscreen makes aiming both cameras easy.

What warranty do I get?

A market-leading 3-year Australian warranty on the cameras and 12 months on accessories and SD cards, plus your full rights under Australian Consumer Law.

See it on screen. Keep it in 2K.
