Sale price  $719.00 Regular price

A stealth dash cam system with the recorder locked in a tamper-proof hidden box — only a tiny camera on the glass, expandable to 3 channels.

  • Evidence survives — locked box keeps the SD card safe from tampering
  • Up to 3 cameras — rear, infrared cabin or weatherproof external
  • STARVIS + 60fps front on every channel
  • SOS button + GPS module included in the box
  • Fleet-ready — BlackVue Cloud and FLEETA support

Best for: fleets, rideshare and work vehicles where footage has to survive the incident itself.

High-endurance memory card — built for non-stop recording
Help me choose the right setup
Memory card — what size? We recommend 256GB for 4K or dual-channel cameras: they record large files, and 256GB holds roughly a full day of footage before it loops — so you’re far less likely to lose an incident before you save it. 128GB is plenty for single-channel or 2K cameras.
Always fit a fresh, high-endurance card. Dash cams record in a non-stop loop, which wears out standard or old phone cards quickly and causes dropouts, “please format” errors or corrupted clips — exactly when you need the footage. A new card rated for continuous recording is the reliable choice.
Parking protection — especially EVs & Teslas. Parking mode runs around the clock. A battery pack powers it from its own cells, so it never draws on your car’s 12V system — 24/7 protection with no flat-battery risk, which matters most on EVs where you can’t safely deep-cycle the main battery.
Cloud connectivity. Add the BlackVue CM100GLTE 4G module for remote live view, impact alerts and GPS tracking from anywhere. You supply a data SIM — around $5–10/month is generally plenty.
Easy self-install. A BlackVue OBD-II power cable plugs straight into your car’s OBD port — no fuse-box wiring — and keeps the camera powered for parking mode.

Overview

The BlackVue DR770X Box Pro hides the recorder — and your evidence — in a lockable, tamper-proof box tucked in the glovebox or under a seat, leaving only a tiny 43-gram camera on the glass. Start with one channel and expand to three: rear, interior infrared, or a weatherproof external camera.

Who it's for

This is the system for anyone whose footage has to survive the incident: fleets, taxis and rideshare operators, ute and truck owners, and drivers in areas where cameras get ripped off windscreens. If someone breaks in or an angry driver grabs the camera, they get a cheap sensor head — the locked box keeps the SD card and the evidence.

  • Fleets & trucks
  • Rideshare & taxi
  • Stealth installs
  • Tamper-proof evidence

Want a simpler all-in-one? The DR770X-2CH II covers front and rear without the separate recorder. The Box Pro's add-on cameras — RC1-C rear, RC1-IR-C infrared cabin and ERC1-C weatherproof external — are all available here.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • Evidence survives tampering — recorder and SD card live in a lockable steel-screwed box
  • Near-invisible install: only a 43g camera head on the windscreen
  • Modular 1 to 3 channels — mix rear, infrared cabin and weatherproof external cameras
  • STARVIS sensors on every camera, 60fps front channel
  • EB-1 wireless SOS button and external GPS module included
  • Recorder mounts away from windscreen heat — smart for Australian summers

Worth knowing

  • Base kit is front-camera only — a full 3-channel build is around $1,140 with add-on cameras
  • microSD tops out at 512GB (the DR770X II supports 1TB)
  • The optional CM100GLTE cloud module plugs in where the GPS module goes
  • A multi-camera, hidden-box install is one we'd recommend having done professionally

A closer look

What it captures

A break-in at a job site: the thief takes one look, rips the camera off the glass — and the locked box under the dash keeps recording the whole thing on the interior channel. A depot scrape between shifts, a load dispute at a delivery, a passenger incident in a rideshare: with up to three STARVIS cameras and buffered parking mode, the Box Pro is built for exactly the footage other cameras lose.

The recorder hides; the evidence survives

The main unit lives out of sight in a tamper-proof case with security screws and a key — so a thief or angry third party can't take your footage with the camera. It also keeps the electronics away from windscreen heat, which is where most dash cam failures start in Australia.

One system, up to three cameras

The included FC1 front camera records Full HD at 60fps. Add any two of: the RC1-C rear camera, the RC1-IR-C infrared cabin camera (rideshare and taxi work), or the ERC1-C weatherproof external camera for utes, trucks and trailers. Every camera runs a Sony STARVIS sensor.

Fleet-grade cloud and SOS

Pair the wireless EB-1 button to lock an event file from anywhere in the cabin. Add the optional CM100GLTE LTE module or a hotspot for BlackVue Cloud and FLEETA — live view, impact alerts, GPS tracking and remote playback across a whole fleet.

Parking mode with battery protection

The hardwire kit is included; buffered parking mode watches every connected channel and the voltage cut-off protects your starter battery.

Installation options

Hardwire kit (included): the recorder wires to the fuse box and mounts in the glovebox, under a seat or behind a panel; cameras connect back to it by coax. ACC+ wiring triggers parking mode automatically.

OBD-II cable (optional): plug-and-play constant power for parking mode without fuse-box wiring.

Professional install recommended: a hidden recorder plus up to three cameras is the kind of job an installer finishes neatly in a couple of hours — ask us and we'll point you to one near you.

Frequently asked questions

What makes the Box Pro better than a normal dash cam for fleets?

The recorder and SD card are hidden in a lockable tamper-proof box, so footage survives theft, break-ins and tampering. It's also modular — one to three cameras per vehicle — and supports BlackVue's FLEETA fleet cloud platform.

Which cameras can I add?

Any two of the RC1-C rear camera, RC1-IR-C infrared cabin camera and ERC1-C weatherproof external camera. All three are Full HD with STARVIS sensors, and we stock each of them.

Is a rear camera included?

No — the base kit is the recorder plus the FC1 front camera. Most buyers add the RC1-C rear camera at checkout; a full three-camera build comes in around $1,140.

Does it work with BlackVue Cloud?

Yes — via the optional CM100GLTE LTE module (BYO SIM) or a Wi-Fi hotspot. Note the LTE module connects in place of the included external GPS module — ask us about the right setup for your vehicle.

Can I install it myself?

Confident DIYers can — everything needed is in the box. But with a hidden recorder and multiple camera runs, most customers have it fitted professionally. We can help you find an installer.

Do I need an account to use the BlackVue app?

Yes — the current BlackVue app uses a free account, and first-time setup needs an internet connection. After that you can connect to the camera directly over Wi-Fi, and your account includes 1GB of free BlackVue Cloud storage for backed-up clips.

Is my footage private?

Yes. Footage records to the microSD card in the camera and the camera is private by default — sharing features such as Live Broadcast stay off unless you deliberately enable them, and any Cloud features are tied to your own account.
