Why the Cellink instead of BlackVue's own battery?

Will it drain my car battery?
No. While parked the camera runs entirely off the NEO 8+S; the battery only charges while the engine runs.
What warranty applies?
The DR770X II carries a 3-year Australian warranty; the NEO 8+S carries its manufacturer's Australian warranty (see its product page) — both genuine local stock, plus your Australian Consumer Law rights.
