A closer look
4K front, 2K rear
The A229 Pro puts the resolution where it matters most: a true 4K front camera using Sony's STARVIS 2 IMX678 8MP sensor for class-leading detail, backed by a sharp 2K rear. Plates stay readable front and back, day or night.
Glare handled, light handled
A front CPL filter is included to kill windscreen reflections, and dual STARVIS 2 sensors with HDR keep footage clean in low light and high-contrast scenes — the kind of conditions where cheaper cameras fall apart.
Installation options
Car charger (included, plug-and-play): plug into the 12V socket and tuck the cable around the windscreen trim, and you are recording in minutes. Recording stops when the socket switches off with the ignition, so parking mode needs a hardwire kit or a battery pack.
VIOFO HK4 hardwire kit (optional, unlocks parking mode): fuse-box power with a low-voltage cut-off that protects your car battery. The rear cable runs along the headliner to the back window.
VIOFO BP100 battery pack (optional, zero car-battery drain): charges while you drive and powers parking mode from its own cells, so the car battery is never touched. A good fit for EVs and cars left parked for long stretches.

The Plus is 2K front and rear; the Pro upgrades the front to true 4K (and includes a CPL filter). Choose the Pro if you want maximum front detail.
Should I get the Pro or the Ultra?
