The Thinkware MULTEC5 is an IP68 waterproof Full HD camera built to mount on the outside rear of your vehicle — the exterior rear channel for a Thinkware multi-camera system, with a 5m extension lead for cars, utes, 4WDs and vans.

What it does
- Mounts externally on the rear of the vehicle — tailgate, bar, canopy or van door — for a true rear view a windscreen camera can't get.
- IP68-rated waterproof and dustproof body handles rain, mud, dust and washdowns.
- Full HD 1080p with a 126° view and infrared support for low-light rear footage.
- 7m total reach (2m fixed to the camera plus a 5m extension) suits most cars, utes, 4WDs and short vans.
Compatibility & installation

Where does the MULTEC5 mount?
On the outside rear of the vehicle — a tailgate, tow bar, canopy or van door. Because it's IP68 waterproof it's made to live outside in the weather, unlike a windscreen-mounted rear camera.
How long is the cable?
7m in total — a 2m lead fixed to the camera plus a 5m extension. That suits most cars, utes, 4WDs and shorter vans. For trucks, buses, caravans or trailers, choose the MULTEC20 with a 20m lead.
Do I need the multiplexer?
Yes — the MULTEC5 is an add-on camera for a Thinkware multi-channel setup, so it runs through the Thinkware Multiplexer Module.
Is it good in low light?
Yes. It's Full HD with infrared support, so you get usable rear footage at night and in dim conditions such as underground car parks.
