The Thinkware MULTEC20 is the long-lead version of Thinkware's IP68 waterproof external rear camera — a Full HD exterior channel with a 20m extension made for trucks, buses, caravans, trailers and long rigid vehicles.

What it does
- Same rugged IP68 waterproof external camera as the MULTEC5, with a much longer 20m lead for large vehicles.
- Reaches the rear of trucks, buses, motorhomes, caravans and trailers where a standard rear cable falls short.
- Full HD 1080p with a 126° view and infrared for low-light footage.
- Adds an exterior rear channel to a 3, 4 or 5-channel Thinkware build, saved to the same card and parking mode as the rest of the system.
- The extra lead length means you can route the cable neatly along the chassis or roofline of a long vehicle and still reach the dash cam up front.
Compatibility & installation
Connects through the Thinkware Multiplexer Module and works with compatible cameras including the U1000 Plus, Q200, F790 and T700. For cars and shorter vehicles, the MULTEC5 with a 5m lead is the better fit and easier to conceal.

How is the MULTEC20 different from the MULTEC5?
They're the same IP68 waterproof Full HD camera — the only difference is the extension lead. The MULTEC20 has a 20m lead for large vehicles; the MULTEC5 has a 5m lead for cars, utes and shorter vans.
What vehicles is it for?
Trucks, buses, motorhomes, caravans and trailers — anywhere the camera has to reach a long way back from the dash cam.
Do I need the multiplexer?
Yes — like the other add-on cameras, it connects through the Thinkware Multiplexer Module as part of a multi-channel system.
Is it weatherproof?
Yes, it's IP68 rated for full exposure to rain, dust and washdowns, so it's fine mounted on the outside rear of the vehicle.
