Cellink EXT7+ Expansion Battery Pack

An expansion pack, not a standalone battery — chains onto a NEO 8+S to roughly double your parking runtime.

  • Adds 6,800 mAh / 87 Wh of extra runtime
  • Requires a main pack — cannot power a dash cam alone
  • Pairs with the NEO 8+S (sold separately)
  • USB 3.0 fast charge with LED status indicators
  • Made in Korea — 24-month Australian warranty

Best for: airport parking, weekend cars, touring setups and fleet vehicles that sit for days.

The Cellink EXT7+ is an expansion battery pack that chains onto an existing Cellink NEO system to significantly extend how long your dash cam keeps recording while parked. Important to know up front: this is not a standalone battery — it cannot power a dash cam on its own and must be paired with a main pack such as the NEO 8+S.

  • Expansion pack — not standalone
  • Adds 6,800 mAh / 87 Wh
  • Pairs with the NEO 8+S
  • For multi-day parking
  • Made in Korea

What it does

  • Roughly doubles your parking runtime. Chained to a NEO 8+S, its 6,800 mAh (87 Wh) of LiFePO4 cells extend recording well beyond what the main pack manages alone — the difference between covering one night and covering a long weekend.
  • Solves the specific problem of cars that sit still for days. Airport long-stay parking, a second car used only on weekends, caravan and touring setups, or fleet vehicles parked between jobs are exactly where a single pack runs out and an expansion pack earns its keep.
  • Charges over USB 3.0 with clear LED charge and discharge indicators, so you can see its state at a glance rather than guessing.
  • Uses the same LiFePO4 chemistry as the NEO packs — long cycle life and better heat tolerance than lithium-ion, which matters in an Australian summer.

Do you actually need one?

Most drivers do not. If you drive most days and park overnight, a NEO 8+S on its own is plenty, and a NEO 6 Slim covers a standard overnight park for less. The EXT7+ is for the specific case where your car is genuinely stationary for several days and you want continuous parking cover for all of it. If you are not sure which side of that line you fall on, ask us — we would rather talk you out of an unnecessary purchase than sell you one.

Compatibility & installation

The EXT7+ must be connected to a compatible Cellink main battery, most commonly the NEO 8+S (sold separately). It does not connect directly to a dash cam. Because it adds a second unit to conceal and cable, professional installation is strongly recommended — see our installation guide or contact us about a fitter near you. At 157 x 171 x 40 mm and 1.3 kg it needs a little more hiding space than the main pack.

Can the EXT7+ power a dash cam on its own?

No. It is an expansion pack and must be paired with a compatible Cellink main battery such as the NEO 8+S. On its own it will not run a camera — if you do not already own a NEO pack, buy that first.

How much extra parking time does it add?

Its 6,800 mAh sits close to the NEO 8+S's 7,500 mAh, so chaining the two roughly doubles your runtime. In practice that is the difference between covering an overnight park and covering several days.

Which main batteries is it compatible with?

Compatible Cellink NEO main packs, most commonly the NEO 8+S. If you already own an older Cellink pack, contact us with the model before ordering and we will confirm whether the EXT7+ will chain to it.

Do I need a professional to install it?

We strongly recommend it. You are concealing and cabling a second battery unit in the vehicle, and a clean job keeps everything hidden, secure and safe. We can point you to an installer near you.

Is it worth it for normal daily driving?

Usually not. If you drive most days and park overnight, a NEO 8+S alone is enough. The EXT7+ is aimed at cars that sit unused for several days at a stretch — airport parking, weekend cars, touring setups and fleet vehicles.

Already running a NEO 8+S and need longer cover? Add the EXT7+, or compare the Cellink range, browse dash cams, or ask our team whether you need one.
