Parking-mode power without touching your car battery — up to 40 days from one charge, refilled in as little as 55 minutes of driving.

  • 27 hours of 2CH motion-detect parking / 40 days energy-saving
  • 55-minute fast charge while you drive
  • LiFePO4 chemistry — heat-safe, ~3× the cycle life
  • Bluetooth app shows charge and temperature
  • The EV answer for parking mode (fuse-box install)

Best for: EV owners, airport parkers and anyone who wants weeks of parking protection with zero battery worry.

The Thinkware iVolt Max powers your dash cam's parking mode for up to 40 days without drawing a single amp from your car battery — a 96Wh LiFePO4 pack that recharges in as little as 55 minutes while you drive.

  • Up to 40 days parking
  • 55-min fast charge
  • LiFePO4 — heat-safe
  • All Thinkware dash cams
  • EV & smart-alternator answer

What it does

  • Runs parking mode from its own reserve: up to 27 hours of motion-detection recording (2-channel) or up to 40 days in energy-saving mode — then hands back to a fully protected car battery.
  • Fast-charges from the vehicle while driving — as little as 55 minutes to full — so school-run driving is enough to refill it.
  • LiFePO4 chemistry: safer in Australian cabin heat and roughly three times the cycle life of standard lithium-ion, with smart-charging protection that also cuts power if the dash cam area exceeds 80°C.
  • Bluetooth and the iVolt app show charge state, temperature and performance from your phone.

Compatibility & installation

Works with all Thinkware dash cams — it's the recommended parking-mode power source for EVs and smart-alternator vehicles, where hardwired parking mode is difficult or unwanted. It installs to the fuse box via a hardwire cable (use the HWC from your dash cam kit or grab one with your order), and hides under a seat. Note: vehicles without a conventional fuse box (some EVs and hybrids) may not support installation — ask us before buying if unsure.

How long will it run my dash cam while parked?

Around 27 hours of 2-channel motion-detection parking on a charge — or up to 40 days in energy-saving mode with a radar-equipped camera like the U3000. Real numbers depend on your camera, settings and how busy the location is.

Is it safe in Australian summer heat?

That's why it uses LiFePO4 — the most heat-stable mainstream battery chemistry — plus smart-charge protection and an automatic cut-off if the dash cam area exceeds 80°C.

Will it work in my EV or hybrid?

It's the recommended parking-mode solution for EVs and smart-alternator vehicles. The one caveat: it installs via a conventional fuse box, which some EVs and hybrids don't have — contact us with your model and we'll confirm before you buy.

How does it charge?

From the vehicle while you drive, with fast charge taking as little as 55 minutes. A typical commute keeps it topped up for the day's parking.

Does it work with non-Thinkware dash cams?

It's designed and supported for Thinkware dash cams. If you're running another brand, ask us — we'll point you to the right battery.
