A closer look
Parking mode without the wiring
Hardwiring a dash cam to the fuse box usually means booking an auto electrician. The FineVu OBD-II cable skips all of that: plug it into your OBD-II port (most cars built after 1996 have one, within about 60cm of the steering wheel) and your camera has constant power for driving and parking.
Looks after your battery
While recording in parking mode, the cable monitors your vehicle’s voltage and shuts the camera down once it hits the cut-off you set in the FineVu menu — so you come back to a car that starts.
Compatibility
Compatible with FineVu GX-series dash cams, including the GX4K-2CH and GX35-2CH sold here. It is a genuine FineVu accessory and is not compatible with other camera brands. 12V passenger vehicles only — not for 24V systems.
Installation
Locate your OBD-II port (usually in the footwell under the steering wheel), plug the cable in, and route it up to the camera. Set your preferred low-voltage cut-off in the FineVu menu. That’s it — no fuses, no cutting, fully reversible.

Frequently asked questions
Do I still need to hardwire my camera?
No. The OBD-II cable replaces fuse-box hardwiring for parking mode. If you want parking mode to trigger the instant the engine turns off, the included hardwire cable does that; the OBD-II cable activates once the car goes to sleep.
Will it fit my car?
Most vehicles built after 1996 have an OBD-II port, usually within 60cm of the steering wheel. Check yours has room for the connector (it protrudes about 25.5mm). 12V vehicles only.
Does it work with any dash cam?
No — it’s a genuine FineVu accessory for FineVu GX-series cameras only. It won’t work with other brands.
Will it flatten my battery?
No — it has an adjustable low-voltage cut-off that shuts the camera down before your battery drops too far.
