Complete your setup
Choose a memory card and tick anything else you’d like — it all ships together with your camera.
High-endurance memory card — built for non-stop recording
A 32GB high-endurance microSD card is included with your FineVu — no extra card needed. Supports up to 256GB (a FineVu 256GB card for the largest size). Please don’t use SanDisk cards in a FineVu.
Help me choose the right setup
Memory card — what size? We recommend 256GB for 4K or dual-channel cameras: they record large files, and 256GB holds roughly a full day of footage before it loops — so you’re far less likely to lose an incident before you save it. 128GB is plenty for single-channel or 2K cameras.
Always fit a fresh, high-endurance card. Dash cams record in a non-stop loop, which wears out standard or old phone cards quickly and causes dropouts, “please format” errors or corrupted clips — exactly when you need the footage. A new card rated for continuous recording is the reliable choice.
Parking protection — especially EVs & Teslas. Parking mode runs around the clock. A battery pack powers it from its own cells, so it never draws on your car’s 12V system — 24/7 protection with no flat-battery risk, which matters most on EVs where you can’t safely deep-cycle the main battery.
Cloud & Wi-Fi. FineVu cameras connect over built-in Wi-Fi to the free FineVu app, so you can review and download clips straight to your phone — no extra module or monthly SIM needed.
Easy self-install. The FineVu OBD-II parking cable plugs straight into your car’s OBD-II port — no fuse-box wiring — and powers parking mode.
FineVu memory cards. A 32GB high-endurance card is included. If you size up, use a genuine FineVu or high-endurance Samsung card — the 256GB size must be a FineVu card, and SanDisk cards aren’t supported.

For drivers who want the sharpest front footage FineVu makes, plus rear cover, in a discreet factory-look install. If you don’t need 4K, the compact GX35-2CH is the smarter buy.

  • Sony STARVIS sensor
  • Smart parking mode
  • 3-yr AU warranty

What makes the GX4K stand out

True 4K where it counts

An 8.5MP Sony STARVIS IMX515 front sensor records true 4K Ultra HD at a raised 24Mb/s, so number plates and faces stay readable even at highway speed — the detail that wins a claim. The 1080p Full HD rear covers tailgaters and rear-end hits.

Records while you’re parked

FineVu’s super-intelligent parking mode keeps watch after you walk away: a 10-second pre-buffer catches what happened before an impact, it boots and records in under two seconds, and a voice summary tells you how many impacts it caught.

Discreet by design

The integrated ultra-flush body sits hard against the glass behind the mirror, so it blends in like an OEM part. An on/off switch pauses parking recording at home without pulling cables, and a one-touch SOS button locks an emergency clip instantly.

Built for Australian heat

A supercapacitor (not a swell-prone lithium battery) plus AI Heat Monitoring keep the GX4K recording in a hot parked car instead of shutting down — exactly what a dash cam needs in an Aussie summer.

Frequently asked questions

Is the GX4K worth it over a 2K camera?

If you want the sharpest possible front footage and a factory-flush look, yes. For a smaller and cheaper camera with excellent 2K quality, the FineVu GX35-2CH is the better value.

Will it record while my car is parked?

Yes. Fit the included hardwire cable to the fuse box, add the optional FineVu OBD-II cable, or use a battery pack. Parking mode includes a 10-second pre-buffer and AI heat monitoring.

What memory card should I use?

A genuine FineVu or high-endurance Samsung microSD. A 32GB card is included; the 256GB option must be a FineVu card. Don’t use SanDisk cards — they can cause faults and void warranty.

Does it drain my car battery in parking mode?

The hardwire and OBD-II cables both have a low-voltage cut-off that shuts the camera down before your battery drops too far. A battery pack removes the risk entirely.

What warranty do I get?

A market-leading 3-year Australian warranty on the cameras and 12 months on accessories and SD cards, plus your full rights under Australian Consumer Law.

FineVu's auto night vision lifts detail out of the shadows automatically. It's the difference between a usable clip and a near-black frame.
