BlackVue Genuine microSD Card
PRICE BEAT Found it cheaper? We’ll beat it
Genuine BlackVue high-endurance microSD cards are built specifically for the constant read-write cycle of dash cam recording. They are the single most common reason a dash cam either keeps working for years or starts throwing errors after six months — and the cheapest insurance you can buy for your footage.

Why a high-endurance card matters
- A dash cam is the harshest job a memory card can be given. It records in a continuous loop, overwriting the oldest footage all day, every day — a workload that wears out a cheap or unbranded card designed for holiday photos surprisingly quickly.
- When a card starts to fail it rarely announces it. You get "please format the card" errors, files that will not play, gaps in the timeline, or a camera that silently stops recording. People routinely discover the problem on the one day they needed the footage.
- High-endurance cards use memory rated for far more write cycles, so they tolerate that constant overwriting for years rather than months.
- Genuine BlackVue cards are tuned and tested against BlackVue cameras specifically, which means fewer compatibility quirks than a generic card of the same nominal speed rating.
Which capacity?
64GB covers everyday driving comfortably on a single-channel camera. On a dual-channel setup it still loop-records continuously, but you have a shorter window of footage before the oldest files are overwritten. 128GB roughly doubles that window, and 256GB is our pick for front-and-rear and 4K cameras such as the Elite 9 and Elite 10 2CH.

Need 512GB or 1TB?
We don't currently stock BlackVue's 512GB or 1TB cards. For those capacities we recommend the Samsung Pro Plus microSD card. It is rated U3 / V30 / A2 — V30 guarantees a 30MB/s sustained write floor, which is what continuous recording actually demands — and it works with BlackVue, FineVu and VIOFO cameras. It is not a BlackVue product and carries no BlackVue endorsement; it is simply the card we recommend when you need more room.
Looking after your card
Even a high-endurance card benefits from a format every few months — it clears file-system errors before they become dropouts, and takes under a minute from the camera menu or the BlackVue app. Always format in the camera rather than on a computer. If you ever capture footage that matters, copy it off the card straight away: it is a loop recorder, and it will eventually overwrite itself.

Do you sell 512GB or 1TB BlackVue cards?
Not at the moment. We stock genuine BlackVue cards in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. For 512GB or 1TB we recommend the Samsung Pro Plus.
Which size should I get?
64GB suits everyday driving on most single-channel setups. For front-and-rear cameras, 128GB or more gives you a longer window before looping overwrites older footage, and for 4K cameras like the Elite 9 and Elite 10 2CH we recommend 256GB. If you need 512GB or 1TB, go with the Samsung Pro Plus. Tell us your model and we will give you a straight answer.
Can I just use a normal microSD card instead?
Cheap, unbranded or general phone-storage cards are not built for continuous overwriting, so they tend to fail early, cause dropouts or corrupt files — usually without warning. Stick to a card rated for sustained video writing, U3 / V30 or better, from a brand that stands behind it. The genuine BlackVue card and the Samsung Pro Plus both qualify.
How often should I format the card?
Every few months is a good habit. It clears up file-system errors before they turn into recording dropouts, and takes less than a minute from the camera menu or the BlackVue app. Always format in the camera, not on a computer.
How long will a card last?
A high-endurance card in normal use typically lasts years rather than months, but no memory card lasts forever. If you start seeing format prompts, missing files or playback errors, replace it — that is the card telling you it is near the end.
Does a bigger card mean better video quality?
No — quality is set by the camera. A bigger card simply stores more footage before the loop overwrites the oldest files, which gives you a longer window to retrieve an incident you did not notice at the time.
Will my footage be saved forever?
No. Dash cams loop-record, so old footage is overwritten as the card fills. Event files triggered by an impact are usually protected in a separate folder, but if something matters, copy it off the card as soon as you can.
Choose the genuine BlackVue card in 64GB, 128GB or 256GB, or step up to the Samsung Pro Plus if you need 512GB or 1TB. You can also browse BlackVue dash cams or ask our team which card suits your camera.
