A rear camera that lives outside
Most dual-channel cameras put the rear camera on the inside of a windscreen — useless on a truck, tipper or box trailer. The DR770X-2CH II TRUCK uses a sealed IP69K rear camera engineered to mount on the outside of the vehicle and keep recording through rain, dust, mud and high-pressure washdowns. It also lets you watch cargo loading and unloading, not just the road behind.
6 rear IR lights for the dark
Depots, loading bays and rural roads are exactly where you need the rear covered and exactly where there's no light. Six built-in IR lights on the rear camera lift dark and dim scenes so the footage is actually usable at night.
Dual Sony STARVIS, front and rear
Both channels run genuine Sony STARVIS low-light sensors, and the front records at 60fps to keep oncoming plates readable. You get identifiable footage at both ends when it counts — after dark and in poor weather.
BlackVue Cloud, Wi-Fi and GPS
Add the optional CM100GLTE LTE module (BYO SIM) or a Wi-Fi hotspot and BlackVue Cloud gives you remote live view of both cameras, instant impact alerts while parked, GPS tracking and remote playback — the features fleets buy BlackVue for. Parking mode ready on day one
The hardwire kit is in the box. Once wired, buffered parking mode captures the 5 seconds before every motion or impact event, with a voltage cut-off protecting your vehicle's battery.
Built for Australian conditions
Supercapacitor power (no lithium battery to swell in the heat) and an 80°C operating rating mean it keeps recording through the hottest summer weeks — in the cab and on an exposed rear mount.
Installation options
Plug-and-play (12V or USB-C): the included cigarette-lighter adapter or USB-C cable powers the camera while you drive — no parking mode this way.
Hardwire kit (included — unlocks parking mode): fuse-box install with a battery-protecting voltage cut-off. With a 15m rear cable to run and a fuse box to wire, this is the install we most often recommend having done by an auto electrician.
OBD-II cable (easy DIY parking mode): the optional BlackVue OBD-II Power Cable gives you parking mode without fuse-box wiring. Not suitable for some EVs.
Battery pack: the B-130A Ultra Battery Pack runs parking mode for hours without touching your vehicle's starter battery.

Can the rear camera really mount outside the vehicle?
Yes — the rear camera is rated IP69K, the highest ingress protection standard, so it withstands dust, heavy rain and high-pressure/steam washdowns. That's what makes it suitable for trucks, tippers, trailers and box bodies where the rear isn't a windscreen.
How is this different from the standard DR770X-2CH II?
Same recording hardware, but the TRUCK version swaps the windscreen rear camera for a rugged waterproof external camera with 6 IR lights, and includes a longer 15m coax cable instead of 6m so it reaches the back of a large vehicle.
Will the 15m cable be long enough for my truck or trailer?
15m suits the vast majority of trucks, utes with canopies, motorhomes and caravans. If you're running a B-double or an unusually long rig, contact our team before you buy and we'll confirm.
Do I need the cloud module?
No — Wi-Fi, GPS, recording and parking mode all work without it. The optional CM100GLTE (with your own SIM) or a hotspot adds remote live view, impact alerts and GPS tracking.
Will parking mode flatten my battery?
No — the included hardwire kit has a voltage cut-off that shuts the camera down before your battery gets low.
