BlackVue CPL-2 Filter (Elite Series)
Overview
The BlackVue CPL-2 is a circular polarising filter made specifically for the Elite Series front camera — it clips on to cut windscreen glare and dashboard reflections so your daytime footage stays clear, punchy and readable.
Who it's for
If you run a BlackVue Elite 8, 9 or 10 and your daytime footage washes out or shows your dashboard reflected in the glass, the CPL-2 is the cheapest, fastest clarity upgrade you can make. It's especially worthwhile on cars with sloped or reflective dashboards.
- Made for Elite Series
- Cuts glare & reflections
- Clearer plates by day
- Tool-free clip-on

A closer look
Why a polariser matters
Polarised light bouncing off your windscreen and dashboard is what causes that hazy, washed-out look and the ghost of your dash reflected in the glass. A circular polarising filter blocks that reflected light so the camera records the road, not the reflection — giving you clearer footage, deeper skies and more readable plates in bright sun.
The right filter for Elite
The Elite Series uses a different front lens to older BlackVue models, so it needs its own filter. The CPL-2 is machined to seat precisely over the Elite camera with no light leak. Older DR7/DR9 models use the BF-1 filter instead.
Compatibility
The CPL-2 is designed for the BlackVue Elite Series — Elite 8, Elite 9 and Elite 10 front cameras. If you run an older BlackVue (DR750, DR770, DR900 or DR970 non-Plus), choose the CPL Filter BF-1 instead. Not sure which you need? We'll confirm before you buy.
Installation
No tools required — the filter clips neatly over the Elite front camera lens in a few seconds. Rotate to dial in the amount of glare reduction, then you're done.

Frequently asked questions
Will the CPL-2 fit my older BlackVue?
No — the CPL-2 is for the Elite Series. Older DR7/DR9 models use the BF-1 filter. We stock both, so message us if you're unsure.
Does a CPL help at night?
It's a daytime aid that cuts glare and reflections. Because it slightly reduces light, most drivers leave night performance to the camera itself.
Will it remove my dashboard reflection?
Yes — cutting dashboard and windscreen reflections is exactly what a CPL does best, which is why it's so popular on reflective or sloped dashboards.
Is it hard to fit?
No tools needed. It clips over the lens in seconds and rotates to fine-tune the effect.
