Put your BlackVue online anywhere — remote live view, alerts and GPS tracking over 4G.

  • Always-on cloud: live view, push alerts and cloud backup wherever the car is.
  • Simple setup: plugs straight into the dash cam — just add your own nano SIM (around $5–10/month).
  • In-car Wi-Fi hotspot: shares its 4G connection with devices in the car.
  • Broad compatibility: works with cloud-ready DR770X, DR970X and Elite series cameras.
  • Genuine BlackVue: Australian stock with local warranty support.

Best for: fleets, frequently parked cars and anyone who wants eyes on their vehicle 24/7.

The BlackVue CM100GLTE is a 4G LTE connectivity module that keeps your BlackVue dash cam online anywhere you drive — unlocking the full BlackVue Cloud feature set without relying on a home Wi-Fi hotspot or tethering to your phone.

  • 4G LTE connectivity
  • Nano SIM (bring your own)
  • Remote live view & alerts
  • In-car Wi-Fi hotspot
  • Works while parked

What it does

  • Puts your dash cam on the mobile network. With a data SIM inserted, the camera connects to BlackVue Cloud over 4G LTE anywhere there is coverage — giving you remote live view, instant impact and motion push alerts, GPS tracking and remote playback from the BlackVue app on your phone.
  • Keeps working while the car is parked. This is the part most people underestimate: without a connectivity module, a parked car away from home Wi-Fi is effectively offline, so you only discover an incident when you walk back to the vehicle. With the CM100GLTE you get the alert the moment it happens.
  • Doubles as an in-car Wi-Fi hotspot for up to five devices — useful on road trips, and a genuine second reason to justify the data plan.
  • Lets you check on the car from anywhere. Parked at the airport for a week, kids borrowing the car, a work vehicle out with staff — you can open the app and see live footage rather than wondering.

Who it suits

The CM100GLTE makes most sense if you park away from home Wi-Fi regularly — street parking, apartment car parks, airports, work sites — or if you run a vehicle someone else drives and you want visibility without asking. If your car lives in a garage on home Wi-Fi and you rarely need remote access, your camera's built-in Wi-Fi may already cover you and you can skip this. We would rather tell you that up front.

Compatibility & installation

Works with BlackVue Cloud-ready models including the Elite series and the X Plus range. It connects via Micro USB 3.0 and takes a standard nano SIM, which you supply — any Australian data SIM with coverage where you park will do, and a small monthly data allowance is usually plenty for alerts and occasional live view. If you are unsure whether your exact model is Cloud-ready, ask us before you order and we will confirm it. For a tidy result the module is usually mounted alongside the camera during a professional install — see our installation guide.

  • Straight advice on whether you actually need it — dash cams are all we do
Do I need a SIM card, and what sort?

Yes — the CM100GLTE takes a nano SIM with a data plan, which you supply. Any Australian data SIM with decent coverage where you park will work. A small monthly allowance is usually enough, since alerts and occasional live view use very little data.

Which cameras is it compatible with?

BlackVue Cloud-ready models, including the Elite series and the X Plus range. If you are unsure about your specific model, contact us before you buy and we will confirm compatibility.

Do I need this if my dash cam already has Wi-Fi?

Only if you want the camera online away from home. Built-in Wi-Fi connects to a network in range — typically your home. The CM100GLTE keeps the camera connected anywhere there is mobile coverage, which is what makes remote alerts useful while the car is parked elsewhere.

Will it work while the car is parked and switched off?

Yes, provided the camera itself has parking-mode power — from a hardwire kit, an OBD-II cable or a battery pack. The module stays connected so impact and motion alerts reach your phone in real time.

How much data will it use?

Very little for alerts and notifications. Live viewing and downloading clips use noticeably more, so if you plan to stream regularly choose a plan with room to move. Most customers find a small monthly data SIM is ample.

Can I install it myself?

It connects via Micro USB 3.0 and is straightforward, but for a concealed result most people have it fitted at the same time as the camera. See our installation guide, or contact us and we can point you to a fitter.

Add the CM100GLTE for cloud connectivity anywhere you park, or browse BlackVue dash cams, or ask our team whether your camera supports it.
