FineVu now has four two-channel dash cams in Australia, and the right one depends far more on how you drive and park than on the spec sheet. Short version: the GX35 is the smart buy for most cars, the GX9000 is the one with a screen, the GX4K is 4K front for cars that live in the sun, and the GX1600 is the flagship for the sharpest plates front and rear. Here is how to pick in two minutes, with the honest trade-offs.
Pick by how you drive
Start here. Find the line that sounds like you, then read that camera's section below.
Daily commute, street or station parking, you want it to just work: FineVu GX35. Discreet, 2K front, and the most efficient parking mode in the range.
You want to see what it recorded right there in the car: FineVu GX9000. A 3.5" touchscreen shows front, rear or both, and plays clips back without your phone.
Car parked outside in Queensland or WA sun, and you want 4K up front: FineVu GX4K. FineVu's heat management with a true 4K front camera.
Long highway kilometres, night driving, or a company car where the footage has to hold up: FineVu GX1600. 4K front, 2K rear, HDR on both, and rear blind-spot alerts.
Electric vehicle: GX35 for the lowest parked draw; GX9000 if you want the screen. Our EV dash cam guide covers battery packs and power.

Each camera, and who should skip it
FineVu GX35 2CH
The one we recommend most. 2K front on a STARVIS 2 sensor, Full HD rear, a tiny body that hides behind the mirror, and a 0.01W power-saving parking mode that lets a hardwired car sit for days. Skip it if you want 4K, or a screen.

FineVu GX9000 2CH
For drivers who want to see it, not just trust it. The 3.5" touchscreen shows front, rear or both in picture-in-picture, which makes aiming the rear camera easy and lets you show a clip to the other driver on the spot. 2K front, Full HD rear, Auto Super Night Vision 2.0, 0.06W power-saving parking. The screen switches off while driving. Skip it if you want the cleanest, most hidden install: it uses a GPS receiver and Wi-Fi dongle rather than built-in.

FineVu GX4K 2CH
True 4K up front with a Full HD rear, built-in 5GHz Wi-Fi and GPS, and the heat management that makes FineVu the pick for cars that live outside. Skip it if the rear plate matters as much as the front: that is the GX1600's job.

FineVu GX1600 2CH
The most capable FineVu: 4K front on a large 1/1.8" Sony STARVIS 2 sensor, 2K rear, HDR on both cameras, ADAS MAX with rear blind-spot alerts, and GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth all inside the body so nothing else goes on the glass. Screen-free and discreet. Skip it if you would rather review footage on the camera itself, or if 4K front alone is enough.

Every FineVu above comes with a hardwire cable, so parking mode is a fuse-box job, or plug-and-play with the FineVu OBD-II cable ($79). If you would rather keep the car's battery out of it entirely, a battery pack runs parking mode for days and recharges while you drive. The GX35 + Cellink NEO 8+S bundle ($828) and the GX4K + NEO 8+S bundle ($1,018) put the pair in one box. For the GX9000 and GX1600, add the Cellink NEO 8+S or the smaller NEO 6 Slim from the product page. Our battery pack comparison explains which size suits your parking pattern.
In one line each
GX35: the default answer. Best parking efficiency, smallest body, lowest price.
GX9000: the GX35's bigger sibling with a touchscreen. Buy it for the screen.
GX4K: 4K front for cars that cook in the sun, and the bundle-friendly one.
GX1600: the best FineVu footage, front and rear, with everything built in.
Frequently asked questions
Is the GX1600 worth the extra over the GX4K?
If plates behind you matter, yes. The GX1600 moves the rear from Full HD to 2K, adds HDR on both cameras, a larger front sensor and rear blind-spot alerts, and builds GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth into the body. If you only care about the front view, the GX4K does 4K front for less.
Which FineVu is best in an electric vehicle?
The GX35, for its 0.01W power-saving parking mode. The GX9000 is the pick if you want a screen, at 0.06W. In any EV we suggest pairing the camera with a battery pack so parking mode never touches the traction battery; see the EV parking mode guide.
Does the GX9000's screen stay on while driving?
It can be switched off while driving and the camera keeps recording. Most owners leave it off on the road and tap it when they want to check the view or play a clip.
Do all four have the 3-year warranty?
Yes. Every FineVu camera we sell is genuine Australian stock with a 3-year warranty on the camera and 12 months on accessories and memory cards.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. Afterpay is available at checkout, and the instalment amount shows on each product page under the price.
