What it does
- Encloses the front camera in a secure housing so it cannot be quickly unplugged, switched off, repositioned or pulled off the windscreen. The camera keeps recording whether or not the person in the driver's seat wants it to.
- Removes the easy opportunity for a thief. Most dash cam theft is opportunistic — a camera that lifts off its mount in two seconds is a far softer target than one in a fixed case.
- Protects the evidence chain in exactly the situations where footage matters most: a rideshare dispute, an incident in a company vehicle, or a hire car returned with damage nobody admits to.
- Keeps the install looking deliberate and professional, which is its own quiet deterrent — a caged camera reads as "this is monitored" rather than "this is worth taking".
Who it suits
The TP-E earns its place any time someone other than you is behind the wheel or in the back seat. Rideshare and taxi drivers use it so passengers cannot interfere with recording during a dispute. Fleet and work vehicles use it so the camera policy is not optional. Hire and loan vehicles use it because you cannot supervise the driver. If you are the only person who ever drives your car and it lives in a garage, you probably do not need one — and we would rather say so.

The TP-E fits all BlackVue Elite front cameras, covering the Elite 8 and Elite 10 series. It is designed for the front camera; rear cameras are generally mounted out of easy reach already. Will it fit my camera?
The TP-E fits all BlackVue Elite front cameras, including the Elite 8 and Elite 10 series. If you are running a different BlackVue range, contact us and we will tell you what suits it.
Why would I need a tamper-proof case?
If anyone else drives or rides in your vehicle — rideshare passengers, staff, hire customers — a tamper-proof case stops the camera being switched off, unplugged or removed. Without one, the footage you most need is the footage most easily prevented.
Does it stop the camera being stolen?
It makes theft considerably harder and slower, which deters the opportunistic grab that accounts for most dash cam theft. No case makes a camera impossible to remove given enough time and tools, but it stops the two-second lift.
Does it block the lens or affect footage quality?
No — the housing is designed around the camera so the lens and field of view are unobstructed. It changes who can interfere with the camera, not what it records.
